About Scott

Growing up in Dorset, I was able to really embrace Vermont and all that is has to offer. My family moved from NJ when I was an infant, but I do like to think of myself as a Vermonter. I graduated from Burr & Burton Academy, then UVM a few short years later, where I played baseball. I spent a brief period playing professionally, but eventually decided my true passion was in building.

Just like every good builder, I started at the bottom—learning the trade from the inside out. I was fortunate enough to have the guidance of some of Vermont’s most reputable builders. I became obsessed with every aspect of the building process and eventually was able to oversee many of my mentors’ projects which ultimately evolved into Scott Bourhill Builders. I now have 20+ years of experience and am constantly working to expand my knowledge of building. I work to ensure that every element of my projects are at the cutting edge of all relevant industries.
